Piercings
Dating back to approximately 3000 BCE, the Sumerians, Akkadians, and Babylonians used body piercings as a means of self-expression and to pay homage to their gods. Ear and nose piercings were especially common, with materials like gold, silver, and precious gems being used for adornment, Since then body piercing has become another way of self expression.

Piercing Aftercare
-
It is important that you avoid touching your new piercing, avoid moving and pulling it: If you can apply the aftercare droplets without using your hands that would be best, but if you need to touch it, you can clean it with a q-tip and freshly washed hands.
-
Don't remove your jewelry until is fully healed. We first fit the jewelry with a piece that is big enough to provide the area to swell a little.
-
Once the piercing has healed you may downsize your jewelry, as leaving large jewelry in after your piercing has finished healing will make it prone to catching or snagging on your hair and clothing, and pushing down on the skin when sleeping.
aftercare directions
Spray or apply droplets to the front and back of the piercing morning, afternoon and evening directly over the piercing and jewelry, starting 24 hours after the piercing has taken place. Please not the spray and droplets are Not for oral use. External use only. If you have an oral piercing then we will advise you to use a salt water solution instead of the spray and droplets.

What is normal during the healing process:
-
Bleeding, bruising, and/or swelling are fairly common with a new piercing.
-
Some discomfort in the area of a new piercing can be expected for several days or longer. Redness and itching during the healing process is also fairly common.
-
Secretion of a whitish-yellow fluid (not pus) is part of the healing process and is to be expected. It is liquid when it leaves the body but dries into “crusties"

What to avoid during the healing process
-
Do not clean your piercing more often than suggested, as over-cleaning can slow the healing process and cause more harm than good.
-
Avoid oral contact or contact with other people’s bodily fluids.
-

-
Avoid lotions and/or makeup in or around your piercing.
-
